Ted is only saying what most feel. I think he is a great spokesman for the 2nd amendment. My one wish would be to go hunting with him. I'd love it.

To all the Tea Baggers if you think Ted and Sarah all going to save you from crime your mistaken, They are getting rich off of your backs and leave you people standing at the side of the road. Having everyone packing a gun is not going to drop the crime rate at all. In fact there will be more deaths and they will be family and friends of the gun owners that will shot first and ask questions later.

@jpcooler You miss the point. If you are being attacked, and there is the threat of major bodily injury or death, you should always have the right to defend yourself by any means necessary. A trial would be great, provided you are still alive to testify against your attacker.
People killing their attackers are not executioners - they are people defending their lives and rights. That is the duty of all law-abiding citizens.

Yes Ted you want to be A Judge, well then run for office. I think the constituion gives us the right to a trial not people running around executing people you suspect of wrong doing.

Sorry but Ted is a whack job. Sure he wrote a couple of great guitar licks but he is full of shit and can't shoot straight or piss straight for that matter. Why did he not serve when he had the chance?? chicken hawk all the way.

As this is still a free country, you have the right to voice your opinion. I really don't care if you think Ted is full of shit or not. I happen to agree with him regarding personal defense. However, I'm not sure where you're coming from with your "can't shoot straight" and "piss straight". Those are totally unfounded and actually make you sound like an idiot. Why didn't he serve when he had a chance? I don't know. From what I've read on that topic, he is fairly embarassed by not doing so.

Ok Sure he is embarassed so let's just pretend he did serve and give him a break. Sure ok. You know it nothing to hunt down a animal and it's a whole different thing to go up against another person with a gun. Ted talks a good story but it does not hold water. I think his son is of age how come Ted isn't walking him down to the recruiting office to sign him up???

I'm not sure. That's up to his son, if he is of age. However, the topic is speaking on is the 2nd ammendment to the Constitution of the United States. The right to bear arms. Citizens of this nation have that right. And it is needed for individuals to protect themselves when the government wont, and also to protect themselves from the government if needed. This is about being a free American, enjoying all the liberties that this great nation has to offer, and protecting those freedoms if needed.

It sounds to me the problem is how we deal with the criminals who carry the guns not the guns themselves. However, I still think Nugent is out of his mind. Also, I don't think anybody, including Hilary, has a problem with law abiding people who own guns for such things as hunting, target shooting and protection. The problem again, is trying to remove the guns from the hands of the people who wish to do harm. So... How do we do we remove the handguns from criminals without a having a duel?

Mike, the reason criminals use handguns against their innocent victims is because the criminals know most people in society don't carry handguns and that makes them an easy target. If the criminal knows that his victim is equally or better armed, then the field is balanced and the criminal loses the advantage. How many deadly shooting sprees have happened at gun ranges? None. Zero. Nada. Too many people equally or better armed.
