This is the way how I fly from El Monte Airport to Santa Monica Airport avoiding busy air spaces (LAX Class B, Burbank Class C, and many Class D). I often visit El Monte for gas and restaurant. I usually depart Rwy19, then make a right turn over Fwy10 then simply follow it at 1800-2000ft. To avoid Dodgers stadium TFR, I tend to fly South of LA Downtown. After passing LA Downtown, I simply follow Fwy10 again, and straight in to Santa Monica Airport. In this movie clip, the ATC did not allow me to fly straight in. Sometimes SMO becomes really busy. But the ATC there are very kind and accommodating to small planes, particularly to the local planes. Very good airport.
Beats driving on the 405 and the 10. Thanks.

It was nice to watch the whole, uncut trip across the LA basin.
