@CEMTV76 ... or Sweden you are very likely to find yourself amongst Bandido members. These guys honour their code of membership in prison as well as outside prison. If you fuck with any one of them you will be fucking with all of them. If they have a lifer amongst them (and they often do) then shivving will get delegated to him because he has nothing to lose. There is no way that OMG members would have put up with "Bronsons" disruptive clown antics.

@CEMTV76 Before you shoot your mouth/fingers off I'll give you an example of the cope and extent of Outlaw Motorcycle Gangs in Australia and the USA. Consider the "Bandidos Motorcycle Club". It is an international OMG with around 2000 members. The gang is headquartered in San Leon, Texas but it has "chapters" in 90 chapters in the US, 90 chapters in Europe, and another 17 in Australia and SE Asia. @CEMTV76 You can read about organised crime in the UK in the Serious Organised Crime Agency" (SOCA) annual report (it's online Google "Serious Organised Crime Agency Annual Report and Accounts"). There is no comparison to be made between organised crime in the UK and that in the USA or even Australia. Consequently, penal populations and culture are entirely different in the USA and Australia -- they are composed of gangs and alliances that mirror the external gangs and alliances.

@CEMTV76 If "Bronson" were in a US prison and he attacked a member of an OMG he would have all of that OMGs members to contend with. If he persisted after his first beating they would get one of their lifers to shiv him. Also, if "Bronson" kept on disrupting the prison and forcing repeated lock downs that would have effected crime group members ability to get drugs and anabolic steroids into prison they would have also got him shanked. Fisticuffs doesn't really matter here.

@CEMTV76 He wouldn't have lasted that long in a US prison or even an Australian prison. It's got nothing to do with being "hard". The reason is the compoistion of the prisons and their culture. USA and Australian maximum security prisons are full of members of ourlaw motorcycle gangs and members of ethnically-based organised crime groups. There is only one OMG in all of UK, in Scotland and there is no ethnically based organised crime except that in Guy Ritchie's imagination.

I read Charlie's first book and it made him out to be a kind hearted misunderstood, badly treated but good person. It made me sign a petition to have him released. However I read the second book and it had more input from Charlie himself and, well, ....read it for yourself and see what you think....

Pure bastards these Screws that Charlie has to deal with day in day out, imagine not giving the man some paper and paint or colour pencils to do his art work. I have a few of Charlie's Drawings but would never think of selling them on they are addressed to me and i treasure them. Starting to think that these bastards wont let Charlie have his freedom untill he is like poor Ronnie Biggs. Charlie has a great sense of humour considering what he has been through. Give this man his Freedom.

@fancychopper How would I obtain one? I have had an interest in Charlie's story for about 15 years now, and as a mature student doing an english degree, I would think it a privelidge to interview him - that would certainly make a unique dissertation.
