Momus: The Orderly

This is a cover -- and my own translation into English -- of Mylène Farmer's 1984 hit Maman A Tort, written by Laurent Boutonnat and Jérôme Dahan. The song tells the tale of a rebellious little girl who's fallen in love with a hospital nurse, but I've used the word "orderly". A medical orderly is an unskilled nurse, but the word also refers to the strict order in which the song's narrator issues the pieces of information which add up to her story.

I think Momus's latest work is great, and i actually prefer the production on these to some of the earlier work.

superb reworking with a couple of minor criticisms - don't like the tinny staccato synth on the hook - a minor rearrangement  there would be a good idea IMHO . Also that mother-son 'conversation' at the end doesn't work for me...

Just read that back and it sounds like I'm laying into the track - really, it is great on the whole!
