For maximum speed off the turn you definately want to put in a few butterfly kicks in there. Also in the first clip you are very 'sideways', not the best form really!

Thanks Davori but the reson for no fly kicks is to save the extra energy for the bike and run sections of a triathlon. This turnis not meantfor Gala swimmers.

After the turn, keep eyes looking forward, to make the back of the head enter first! - it can prevent you from a perforated eardrum.

Yes, tuck your head in for streamline-'hide your ears'

Streamline on your side allows extra kicking when approaching the surface.

Streamline on side also allows to start the stroke with the lowest arm and thus achieve a very powerful 'rotation assisted' first stroke

(Release the water at the back end of the stroke), generally a good stroke though!!

Gotta say, I don't agree with Davori about coming off sideways, as a swimmer i think comeing off on your side gives more of a body flick from your first stroke and therefore more power. Also, not sure I'd fancy doing fly kicks off every turn for 1500m if you're not a swimming specialist, I doubt i do many myself! haha

This is ok but tumble turns look so much better when done efficiently dont you think?

Ah right ok that makes sense :) Often however it is best to maximize your underwater time, as this is when you will be going fastest. As with everything you have to figure out what works best for you :)
