GOLDEN RETRIEVER IN DEEP SNOW DEC. 20 , 2011 VETROZ SION SWITZERLAND

beautiful and extremely gentle Golden Retriever Finka walking in a forest in deep fresh snow near Vetroz Switzerland in the swiss Alps, tuesday dec. 20, 2011 after allday snowfall. shot with Canon EOS 550D and EF-S 15-85 IS lens. ( shot in FHD1080p but merged and reduced to HD720p for faster upload of file , using MPEG streamclip free software). This is a forest called Botza near a camping and swimming pool with same name, we walk that walk very often for the dog ( and good exercise for the dog's master, too ;-) , but rarely have this much nice fresh snow. In July there are a few wild orchids blooming there , you can find videos / slideshows on youtube. com slash klipsigeneva I found many downed trees and first thought it was from the heavy snow but actually now I think it was from both an earlier snow storm with possibly wetter, heavier snow, ( this snow today was light and cold) a few days before, AND also from strong windgusts from storm Joachim a few days earlier. The storm Joachim was not too strong in here, I think, but the forest has quite a few sick / dead / old pinetrees that are ready to tumble timber and as soon as the wind blows strong enough they just come down like a giant mikado... It looks great with the snow on them, though !
