reason people hate Cromwell is because history is written by the victors, the royals in the end sadly. Being brought up in Galway Ireland i hated him. The reality was there was no genocide in Ireland rather a battle at a large garrison were the irish royalists who supported the english monarch were executed wich was the way the wars went back then.
I respect him for two things hating the catholic faith because it stands for wealth, and republicanism something we Irish evolved to understand
