@TheFremantleMedia And 6 episodes later, they changed #10 in R1 and R2. The latter in R2 wasn't for the better, because it resulted in even more cash conflicts like having to pick between $1400 in #1 and $1000 in #10 in the event of a PAC hit.
In fact, most signs point to Scott being on the 11/29/85 episode, because a few weeks later, during Robert/Deborah/Mark, Peter acknowledge the fact that his birthday was 4 days ago (12/7). Wouldn't make sense if it was 12/16/85 that the episode originally aired.
@zachhoran Jason Hernandez's episode guide says that he's sure the Scott on this episode, is the same Scott from 11/29/85. He even has the episodes pushed back a few days, unlike S2X's episode guide.
And when I said the final HPG ended, I mean the day after they taped that episode, not aired. My bad.
CBS aired game shows other than TPIR on Black Friday 1985(Pyramid and PYL), which back then usually didn't happen. If TPIR aired, it was usually a rerun.
The only way Scott would have been on the Thanksgiving week show and this one is if there was a technical or question problem what would have had the producers bring him back.
I believe this episode was taped the same day that $2000/L1W came back, and the day after the final Home Player Game ended.
I wish the episodes from thanksgiving week 1985 resurfaced. That way, we'd be able to know if this was, in fact, the same Scott who won on the 11/29/85 show.
