@gnialf Yes, because Presidents (their institutions + lobbies) don't cost a half of what Kings and Queens cost. Well, to be honest they don't cost a penny. In case you didn't notice (this is the internet) I'm being ironic. People never treasure what they have until they've lost it. It happens over and over again. It's freaking stupid, really. If you were interested in history, do a little research - the fall of the Monarchy in Portugal (1910) came with a heavy price. And that's seen nowadays.

So Mary and Fredrik are fake because of "fake accent", "extravagance", "insatiable appetite to increase public burden by having endless"? Interesting! Who isn't fake among danish royals then? I'm still interested, but I'm a bit confused now!

Btw: never mind about my being German! I don't care at all about monarchs costing money! I would only care about allegedly "democratically" elected (which isn't true, nowhere!) presidents and prime ministers costing money, THESE are crooks!!!

@AvatarMarxon90 Unfortunately in Portugal only few recall the times & the value of the patriotic monarchy! As a matter of fact, even monarchists get cold feet when it comes to see the rightful king installed! I suppose, they're monarchists, because they would like to be kings themselves, without having any idea what kingship actually is & means! Portugal is a hopeless case: culturally, politically, economically! Historical and national self-esteem is seen as a sham! Portuguese ADORE baseness!

Yo vivo en una "republica Democratica" y preferiria mil veces tener reyes que presidentes que roban y saquean al pueblo a diestra y siniestra y no sirven ni siquiera como imagen o son parte de la historia de un pais.

Diferente es tener reyes, por lo menos estos han sacrificado mucho por sus paises como sus vidas personales, etc,. Los de aca NADA.
