A classic black and white betty boop cartoon starring a little lazy dog called pudgy. He gets exited easily, but slows down super fast.
Betty Boop later starts to rapping some real stuff about pets while pudgy is in this machine trying to get more "pep"
Machines come alive, and all the other wierd stuff happens.
Aww, Pudgy is soo cute!

By the way, animator Dave Hoffman left the Fleischer studio in 1938, and became one of Bob Clampett's key animators at Schlesinger/Warner Bros. in Los Angeles until 1941.

The Fleischer musicians were under the baton of Sammy Timberg [who also co-wrote the title song "More Pep"], who really recorded their best scores between 1935 and '38. More of Max's patented live-action "wild gags" also seen here.
