  • One can't draw the conclusion that from the water not being bent by the plastic it follows that it's not polarized. In case of tetrachloromethane (CCl4) the special geometrical symmetry is responsible for the center being positioned at the C atom. Though being a polarized molecule the water wouldn't be bent..

  • He says the party ionic bonding will orient itself in an electric field, so does that mean the ionic bonding will orient itself as well?

  • @D0g63rt As it seems 12 was an Academic Holiday so they called this 13 as 12 wasn't held.
