Firefighter grabs suicide in the air

01/08/2010, Maceió, AL, Brazil - A drunk man threatened to jump from his apartment's balcony and the firefighters were called. After hours, when he went into the apartment and everybody thought that the case ended, he suddenly jumped, but a firefighter was rappelling the building grabbed the suicide. Although the hard trip down, nobody was hurt.

@Hobbitchoker Yeah. That being said, I'm sure there are plenty of firefighters out there who wouldn't even do this. Everyone's human, including cops and firefighters. Hell I've seen janitors who would be brave enough to do this before some cops/firefighters. I guess it isn't as black and white as we think!

@fear614 It's correct in my area and in my life. It's not just a YouTube frat thing, most people would agree with me. Cops I have met and seen have been corrupt and greedy morons. Plus, as a child, I trusted Firefighters more than a cop. Honestly, anyone who says something normally that others disagree with, is their opinion. That statement was mine.

@Hobbitchoker I can respect that, and I know you aren't necessarily shitting on other services, but to sit there and say that you'll never see a cop do that and that 'firefighters rule, period' is just an incorrect, playground statement that's abundant amongst the youtube lightbar frat. We might all work together on the streets but in the comfort of our computer chairs we shit down each others throats, reminds me of junior high.

I agree a firefighter has a total diff job than a cop im a firefighter and i respect our townships pd just as much as my fellow firefighters

@fear614 Keep your comment short, and simple. YouTube lightbar fraternity morons? Don't throw names like a child. Look at my other comments. I clearly said we basically work together. Where I'm from, Volunteer firefighters, like me, are held higher than police. We have limited vehicles and the cops are always picking on people and getting fat here. So don't call me an idiot when you know nothing of my situation or how the comment was directed. If you didn't care, you wouldn't have replied to me.

@Hobbitchoker Cops also have higher call volumes. Firefighters where I live sit in the firehall all day, make no wonder they can get to an emergency so fast. Meanwhile cops are stretched to the limit and have to line calls up in order of importance until a car is free. Not that I care or anything, I know you're just one of the youtube lightbar fraternity guys, but at the end of the day each service is different and has its own time to shine.

@Hobbitchoker Actually I HAVE seen a cop do something very similar to this. I've yet to see a firefighter in a shoot-out though. I'm not sure why you youtube lightbar fraternity morons make such a big deal about the differences between emergency services. They are all different for a REASON. They have different job descriptions.
