@vegatablesouptom oh right kk cheers
-
@moabdah9 Yup. Or they can stay on, obviously depends on the coach.
-
@vegatablesouptom so the sub comes off when the 10 minutes are over?
-
@moabdah9 The team has to bring on a sub hooker/front row if either the props or the hooker are sin binned and move one of their other players to the bench, usually a back rower who will be replaced at scrum time by (usually) a centre.
-
That's a red card
-
anyone know what happens at the scrum when the hookers sin binned? i know its uncontested but u cant even bind without a hooker?
-
@iluvmusicqwe exactly, its horrible inconsistencies in refereeing.

Both the top comments are fucking idiots, he got a yellow for tackling the player without the ball, not a dangerous tackle. He did a straight dump, i'm tired of faggots like you who have clearly never played rugby calling every lifted tackle as a spear, he was yellowed for takling off the ball, which was a bad call since he was commited to the tackle
-
I'm fine with the yellow card for the spear/over 90deg tackle but the ref gave the yellow for tackling the player without the ball which is nonsense
A dump tackle is not illegal of itself but this was bordering on a spear, the tackled player was not driven into the ground but was still dropped on his head which it is the duty of the tackler to prevent. It is a judgement call but a yellow is not overly harsh.

A perfectly justified yellow card. The tackler has a responsibility to bring the tackled player to ground safely. In this case the tackled player had his body taken beyond horizontal, so the head was lower than the rest of his body - apart from his arms which, thankfully due to his moving the ball on, were free to help cushion his fall. Timing of the tackle was fine - it was a simple man and ball situation. Tackler's situation was not helped by the difference in size between the players.
