Crowd re boy: How many of us scoff @ truth and would rather go on in our own comfort zones that we know, and we put down others speaking truth simply because we don't understand or are afraid of truth??
The message also warns us that if we continue in hate, mistrust and selfishness, we will eventually kill off the human race and take the planet with it!!

Great film. But what Klaatu is talking about is establishing a police state. He also used the threat of extermination to force humans to comply. Therefore, it's his way or death. That's not freedom. That's tyranny.

Very advanced movie even 60 years later. Far superior to whatever it is Keanu Reeves did a couple years ago. The biggest travesty is what the remake did to Gort.
