The originator of soca, i had the pleasure of meeting his son in 2009 who now live in st.croix usvi, growing up in the virgin island originally from nevis i had the pleasure of travel the world 15 yrs with the mighty sparrow, i met and play with all the greatest calypsonian of the caribbean from jamaica to trinidad both end of the caribbean....

What a beautiful original. Plagiarising was common in indian movies for ever but now with internet,youtube,interest in "Bollywood" movies and threat of lawsuits it is much under control or has evolved where multiple inspirations are bundled together
