This blueberry was rooted and acclimated ex vitro as bunches of shoots, in water with pH adjusted to 4, then the accclimated plants were potted also as bunches into a peat+perlite mixture. In this small video, we are separating them and planting them individually into pots containing peat.

This improvisation can also be used as mainstream technique and was set up at the Fruit Research Station of Cluj in Romaniain order to save a whole batch of recently acclimated blueberry plantlets which have been rooted in water.

  • I am convinced that greenwood cuttings would also root in acidic water. These were shoots cut from plants cultured in vitro. Those can be rooted ex vitro in acidic water, then planted in bunches, grown bigger and then separated and potted one by one.

  • Nice!!!!

Teoretic oxigenul dizolvat in apa ar trebui sa accelereze cresterea radacinilor. As vrea sa va cunosc. Acceptati vizite la statiunea de cercetare?

  • foarte fain,va multumesc mult. i lived in floresti and cluj-n for a year or so long time ago just after highschool.god i miss it there...

so these were softwood/green clippings just rooted in acidic water? i was lead to believe BB's dont like their roots disturbed, apparently not true?!
