QM2 & QE World Cruise Sailings & Fireworks

10th January 2012. Independence of the Seas was also in, first to arrive followed by QM2 and Queen Elizabeth. As Indy leaves, Trinity House Vessel, Patricia, arrives. At 5.50pm, QE leaves Mayflower Terminal to turn while 10 mins later, QM2 cast off from Ocean, taking a ridiculous 35 minutes to back out and straighten as QE catches up. They both sail to a firework send off.

@hoppy82 It wasn't too bad. Worse a few days earlier. My fingers were numb. Many thought the Cunarders were going at the usual time. Connie's coming for almost 3 months - yes!!!! If you're getting her arriving on the 7th September, I'll wave. Spent 2 glorious weeks on her for my birthday last month. :)

I missed going down to see them off cos I aint been too busy and I am waiting for the weather to warm up and wait to see the new arrivals during the new season and I see Celebrity Constallation will be arriving for a call too later this year.
