debian lxde super fast

my debian lenny super fast with lxde desktop.. see the performance in opening-closing applications..in my hp 530 notebook..
i think that better performance it's impossible (using any pc, laptop apple etc and any s.o. including slack, arch and gentoo)..
i invite you to post some response if i'm wrong.. i'm using a hp 530 notebook (420 €) bought 8 months ago, very slow with vista..

Better performance may be impossible using the operating systems you listed but that "etc." really burned you I think. So if we are comparing speed and comparing how effective each system is, yeah windows sucks obviously, it's not really news to most people but I do think I have come accross systems that are more effective at doing what they do than anything I saw in this video. I'll drop some nice links in my next post because my character limit is just about used now. But just one word. Amiga.

actually I just tried PCLXDE from pclinuxos .. and i fell in LOVE. SUPER FAST on my old P2 266MHZ PC that is 14 years old. SUPER FAST. and windows 98 was a turtle on that pc.

Carino, il migliore è Gnome senza dubbio.

Anche se uso xubuntu dalla 8.10.

Comunque fedora 12 con lxde è molto bello. Dai un'occhiata ;)

that explains it, i have a 1.7 ghz centrino and 1 gig ram 4200 rpm hdd and this thing runs smoothly with ubuntu but its nothing compared to that
