one of my fave songs i have heard this year - truly wonderful!

Mmmm, he evokes so much earth sexiness when he sings. Perhaps, a cheesy thing to say. But you can't deny when listening to this song!

2:38-2:59 was the reason I know this song by heart. just 20 seconds of beautiful, absolutely beautiful melody did the magic.

Just saw Ray live in San Fran a week ago., just him and his acoustic guitar. Absolutely amazing!! Winter Birds was so beautiful and he played a slower version of You Are The Best Thing (he said that was how he originally wrote it). If he comes within 500 miles of where I live, I'm seeing him again!!

its all opinions. I like rays low raspy voice and soul/passion way of singing. But I love Damiens way of going intense and that wicked layer effect he does with his singing and guitar playing when live. No singer can be better than another, because they're all different.

well, rice is also a great singer guys, but I sort of agree with hergreenjacket, I absolutely love ray's voice, more than rice, a lot more. but that doesnt mean he's a bad singer, so davey5984, learn not to take things so hard cuz that was a pretty ridiculous comment.

How can you not love this dude's music.
truly one of the finest singer song writers of our time.  My wife and I would love to see him in concert

It's more of an exploration of his different musical interests, I suppose. But the spirit is still the same. I like it the most out of all of his albums, but that's my humble opinion.
