  • Ok I am so cocfused, i just did the swap to DOHC and have the DOHC harness and ecu, why would I be putting the pins into the SOHC connector? wouldnt I be swapping the connector to the brown DOHC one?

  • @flyguyaaron Hey if you can get the DOHC dash plug to plug into your SOHC chassis dash plug LMK I would love to know. lol no seriously the SOHC dash plug is used because your using the SOHC chassis. It will make perfect sence when you go to install your harnewss into the car.

  • Hey I have a question.. So if I had the sohc ka24e motor, is it possible to swap the head from a ka24de (i believe that's the dohc motor)?

  • @86kd27 Yes the KA24DE is the DHOC KA motor 91-94 and the KA24E is the SOHC KA motor 89-91 - You cannot swap a DE head on a E motor

  • i have a question its kinda like the video but i have a sohc motor going into a dohc car what wires would i need to change?

cuz it has the dohc dash harness n my sohc ecu harness doesnt fit

  • @09GroundZero well ifs its a s13 you just need to pay a ttention to the video I explain what wires go were and are for what on each harness - just put the wires where they should go - if its a s14 its not worth the wiring hassle IMO

  • @joshds25 is this the engine harness?

  • You're my hero man, I had no idea you could just remove the connector pins like this!

Also, future info in case anybody comes by hoping to do this swap someday: you don't need the entire DOHC gauge cluster, you only need the tach. Google up on the swap and you'll find some rather complete guides on how to transplant your DE into your 89-90, as well as lists of everything you'll need.

  • You will need the DOHC cluster

  • Do I still need a DOHC cluster or can I still use my sohc?
