A copy of the interview I was asked to record for broadcast. Covers the work I produced over in India on SS Rajamouli's "Magadheera" and includes an exclusive look at some of the systems used to produce the effects in this record breaking feature.

  • cheers :) .... you know what? It's been about a year since I started working on that feature and I still haven't seen it! I should be coming back to AP (Hyd) at the end of March / start of April so, if it's come out on BluRay or DVD, I'll be able to buy a copy (unless they are still showing it somewhere, which I highly doubt).

  • hi pete nice to see ur reply . i liked ur crowd Choreography it was awesome . did u use any plugins to control the particle system? u used PF source . any plugins u used especially for crowd simulation?

  • no, it was an "out of the box" system I designed so that it could be easily amended as I had very little time to set up the shots so needed the ability to be customised on the fly. It was a simple case of understanding basic crowd rules, like birds flocking - find the flock, find the closest person, stay away from the closest person, if a predator / terrain comes within view then get out of the way. Adhere to these rules and the flock will behave with some "intelligence" :)
