That's a specious argument. If whites are the protagonists of american history, it is because they have dominated civilization, it's not "ethnic" studies, it's a description of historical events. You could argue that it is favoritist towards whites, but reform in curriculum is the answer, not the romantic viewpoint of ethnic studies. Again, unless, the state allows whites to have their own ethnic sutdies program as well.

Your argument about how caucasian studies would never be allowed is simply because it already exists in every school system under the name "American History". The standard american history class charts "white history" from the time when they first immigrated up till the present! There would be no need for ethnic studies if the standard american history class taught anything other than white studies!
