  • Can i do this with a 4 inch munny?

  • @airsoft2xtreme I don't see why not. You might want to use smaller speaker though. Let us know how it works out!

  • Awesome! Could you write down all tools and accessories to us. I really want to building this speakers. Thanks a lot.

  • @chunyeung609 There's really no right or wrong way to do this one. Here's some part numbers for the important pieces: Dayton Audio 2-1/2" Driver- #360-372 Deluxe 30 Watt Hot Knife -#370-360 Stahl Tools Soldering Station-#374-200 Belkin 18 AWG Speaker Wire - #109-040 Acousta-Stuf Polyfill-#260-317 Loctite Silicone Sealer-#342-882 #8 x 3/4" Pan Head Screws-#081-422 Automatic Wire Stripper -#360-627 Just type these part numbers in the search on our site and add to cart!
  • I'm planning on making a bomb munny pair. I have a grenade-head munny and I'm getting a bomb-head munny in the mail! I'm also using 3" Round Mylar Dome Tweeter speakers, since they seem pretty compact and should fit the heads well.

I was thinking though, wouldn't a dremel tool accomplish the same thing the hot-knife did, but easier?

  • @iGizz0 There's really no right or wrong way! It's all experimental.

  • @crenfroe45 That is going to look awesome! We'd love to see it when its done! Feel free to share it on our facebook !

  • Nice video tutorial. I've made a pair myself using the 3 1/2 tang band bamboo drivers and it sounds AMAZING.

I'm currently making a 5.1 setup using these and the Mega Munny to house the 6 1/2 sub. All speaker components were purchased through parts-express :)

Hopefully once its all done I can get a video of the whole system running.

  • @lowoxygen Thank you so much! The Dayton Speakers we used are more weighted towards the back so the Munnys have no problem staying up. Some speakers with heavier frames might be more prone to fall over.

Another example we've seen is cutting the top off the heads and placing a speaker there.

  • This is great! I think the best speakers are the ones that don't follow the regular rectangular box template. These certainly fit the bill! I'd be concerned that they fall over forward though. Are they pretty balanced?
