  • A brilliant man, thank you for posting this. Chalmers Johnson's "Sorrows of Empire" is one of the most fascinating non-fiction books I have ever read.

  • Johnson is doing anything but "oversimplifying". The problem with the American people (quite possibly as a result of their "education system") is that we have not learned to be discerning. We have not learned to be critical thinkers as a population. This is why our so-called democracy is anything but a democracy. I'm all for criticizing Johnson..but you must have a basis for your argument; I see none~ we are sheep. we trust the government. the government lies...big time lies...Wake up!

  • The Iraqi people were & are, no threat to the American people. Iraq was for the longest time, a principle ally of the American government.

Then criminal Corporation United States TRAITORS figured it would by pay day for them, if they had a bunch of invasions & plunderings.

    BANKERS are the enemy.

  • @1968turkey: He is very fair to other coutries. He just takes the Turks as an example. He turns the actual situation around to show Americans shouldn't be surprised when other countries get hostile against Americans because Americans would react exactly the same way if other countries were stationed on American soil.

  • Rest in Peace. I learned much from you.

  • Dear Chalmers, Please be fair to Turks. They have been suffering from Three pro American Juntas. Now there are many problems they are having from aggressive pro US Turkish Army. Many journalists, professors, NGO activist killed during junta times. I mean many realy many thousands of innocent people killed by Army or their neo Nazi ally Grey Wolves, MHP or Ulku Ocaklari In fact Turkey is invaded by the US army bases now and they are Fed up with this condition.

  • I heard the dollar is at it's lowest level ever against the more formidable Euro. And that oil is now at $104 a barrel. I guess it's better to have a million Euros than a million American dollars.

  • why go to vancouver, nothing like the smell of revolution in the morning.
