Sure, Earth being a tiny blue dot at the edge of the universe, barely having a break from cosmic destruction, having life evolved through a 4.5 billion year process of trial and error by which 99% of all the species that have ever lived are extinct, is TOTALLY CONSISTENT with the teachings of the Christian church.

The Christian god would totally use a method like natural selection to "create" us in his image.

Marco Rubio is NOT a scientist.... so maybe we need to elect a real scientist who knows what the fuck they're talking about!

"You can never have enough god! (smiles, drinks from coffee mug)". What a fucking weasel politician who is anti-gay and anti-science. Scary he's in power.

'When a human egg becomes a human embryo, it can't become anything but a human being'... so, what, an egg can become a goldfish? Surely taking this train of thought to its logical extreme, every strand of DNA is a human life, as it can't become anything but a human being?

It's always been amazing to me how ignorant people can show so much skepticism when it comes to scientific evidence and explanations, but they can swallow, without questioning, the unbelievable B.S. that's regularly spewed from a church pulpit. The Republican Party seems to maintain a contest as to who can sware total belief in 2000 - 3000-year old superstitions.

In this day and age of readily-available information, there's no excuse for continuing to be scientifically inept and ignorant.

Yes we have the right to teach our kids to be as ignorant as we are. Our public schools have a responsibility to teach the truth.
