The High Numbers (the Who before they became the Who) supported The Kinks and even Townsend says I Can't Explain was copied directly from The Kinks! I've had a few drinks so please excuse any typos :o)

@jayfey77 No actually, The who were together in late 63' but under a different band name, called the ''High Numbers''. the Kinks formed when brothers Dave and Ray Davies wanted to form a band in mid 64'.
