  • What is the first song they are playing? Sounds like great Dixieland jazz.

  • These dancers are actually pretty darn good. Try dancing at that speed and with that little room.

  • @tyroneemail No problem, Been jitterbuggin' since the 80s.

  • @harvey1954 I'd have to agree with you. It's like a Dean Collins without enough room to do a Dean Collins. I thought you were the typical net troll who didn't know and so just gave you a basic rundown, my apologies

  • @tyroneemail This is a variation on the Lindy Hop, but not the real deal. Very familiar with Frankie as the dance group I help run use to bring him in once a year to teach the Lindy and talk about the old days.

  • @harvey1954 This is called lindy hop, it was the first street dance and evolved into swing, twist, Jive, casino(Salsa), break dancing, club, hip-hop, dub, and rave. These guys aren't that good, check out frankie manning or helzapoppin

  • @harvey1954

    ? British invasion?

  • Hey harvey1954. Did you wonder why those limeys were speaking French?!

  • What is it about the limeys that made them love that trad crap? Swing dancing needs music that swings, not this fillintheform Dixieland. Thank god they pick up guitars and started to play rock and roll. Gave the USA a good swift wakeup call with the British Invasion bands.

  • That's from the Dixieland revival in France that took place just after WW2. Swing had gone out of fashion and was replaced by bebop in the jazz world. The problem was that most swing players had no use for bebop so those that were unwilling to make the change started to bring Dixieland back. It only lasted for two or three years and then it also died out.
