Maybe Ed wore the eyeliner to distract us from the fluffy rooster comb-like hair? I (normally) think he's super sexy, but I just can't deal with the hair. He has hair in the 1 Turn My Head video but at least its short and blond so its not quite as weird looking. A note to all guys- If you're balding and curly, please, please shave your head!
