Maybe they knew about Jeremiah Denton and forced this guy to wear those sunglasses. Jeremiah Denton was captured by the North-Vietnamese in 1965. They made him do a television interview in 1966. He blinked his eyes in morse code to spell out the word "T-O-R-T-U-R-E" to communicate that his captors were torturing him. Look him up, the television interview is on YouTube.
