Smooth and tasteful as usual ... easy listening and really pleasing Per. I got the Schilke mthpc (the Symphony 1.5 equivalent I think) and I love it better than my Bach.... thanks for a wonderful post ... I can always hear the melody when you improvise ... sure sign of a master at work ... all the best from your friend Lee

@Arborwaychet Thank yo Lee....Im sure you wont regret playing the Schilke,at least i never did,and it feels wrong whenever i try other brands....Bout the music...I think im soon ready to take the step,and go for the CHET BAKER style,without looking around for distraction....Guess it takes maturity to get in to the music like Chet,and since im not getting younger and younger...the choice will soon be made.Always glad to change with and hear from you.Per

I listened a couple more times ... and there is a lot of Chet already here!!! But best of all is you really DO have your own style and sound (both of which I truly enjoy listening to) ... hope you post more trumpet vid's and especially interested because that will document the directions you take in your playing. With some chances to play live I find lots of pressure to play faster/higher/louder ... not the directions I want to go in ... but inescapable I suspect.

Yes ... watching his videos and listening to his sound ... there is a discernable focus on sound and the 'next' note. There is also an economy of execution (underblowing rather than overblowing) and a soft attack that he developed in his later years that is absolutely beautiful ... those whisper tones he could play and the 'fluffy' lightening fast runs ... convey so much emotion. His technical abilities mostly were unappreciated. Do hope we meet one day Per
