  • Hey Man, I cant go to bed cus you have kept me listening to your tracks. Amazing playing. I have a new appreciation for slide guitar music. Ur phrasing evokes lots of emotion. Any suggestion on who to listen to or practice to for Blues (basic blues guitar)? Bro keep playing.

  • @austineoe Hi, thanks for the wonderful compliment, that's really nice of you!! I could mention a few blues guitarists I really like and listen to? If they are basic, I dunno;-) First and foremost: Derek Trucks, he is just the world's best slide player right now and mixes a lot of styles together!!! Ry Cooder, BB-king, Robert Johnson, Buddy Guy, Jimi Hendrix, Duane Allman, and Steve Ray Vaughan;-) but there's a lot missing on this list.

  • This is some truly wonderful playing. I love the phrasing and tone. Not your typical Blues either. Certainly the harmonics and upward brush strokes add a nice touch too. Sounds like it would make for some cool sounds behind a movie. Thanks for sharing. Enjoy.

  • @KeniLeeBurgess Hi Keni, wow man, thanks so much for your very nice words here, coming from a player like you, I think it's very cool.

  • @JILLMOL My pleasure. I have been listening to your Hendrix covers too. He was my first love musically. You should cover Hear my train a comin' . You should also consider getting yourself a resonator. I bet you could come up with some tasty ideas. Your a very good player too my friend. Enjoy.

  • @KeniLeeBurgess I want a resonator, really bad.....I love that sound!!!!

  • That TElecaster sounds so fine !!

  • How did I miss this one before? Great playing and great slidework Jillis! Btw, I also prefer plexi-slide on lighter strings and brass on heavier ones. Keep posting.

  • @JILLMOL

I just needed to listen to it again. How do you do that thing at 1:36-1:54 and at other parts of the song, you play a note and it rings after you take your finger off?

Please help me, I've been trying to figure it out for a few days.

  • Very nice Jillis. Sounding very mellow and sweet.

  • Great guitar work as always Jillis, thumbs way up!=)

  • @JILLMOL Ya, you would definitely take her for a sweet ride. I can boil your options down to two major choices. Lower end, but still very good quality for the money, Republic guitars. Higher end, and in my opinion none better, National Resophonic. If you have any resonator guitar questions, please feel free to throw them my way. Enjoy.
