PILOT HAD ENGINE TROUBLE IN FLIGHT & WAS FORCED TO MAKE AN EMERGENCY LANDING IN A FIELD @ 173RD & CICERO AVE. THE PILOT WAS GOING TO LAND THE PLANE ON INTERSTATE 57,BUT DECIDED IT WOULD BE SAFER TO LAND IT IN THE FIELD

He made the correct decision to land in the open field. Fuel contamination or failure of the fuel pump is the must likely cause. Anybody have the follow up on this one about what the actual cause was?
