Greetings Viewers! I have returned to bring you a new helping of Brimstone Plays. The game in question is Rocket Knight Adventures, a game created by Konami for the Sega Genesis. This will be a semi blind run of the game, as while this is my first time playing it, I have seen it played before so i have some Idea of what I'm doing.
This game was made in the wake of Sonic the Hedgehog rise to glory and the coming of the swarm of various "Animal Mascots with attitude" games that tried to cash in on Sonic's success. Rocket Knight however, stands above these games a Konami decided to join the bandwagon but they would do it their own way. So, they got Nobuya Nakazato, who designed many of the Contra games at the time to make this game.
What you get is a very good action platformer, that has several linear sections, a gimmick (the rocket pack) that really adds some much needed dynamics to this genre of games, and just some good no holds barred Konami fun. I should also note that the graphics and music for this game were simply stunning and really gave games made on the Super Nintendo at the time a run for it's money in those aspects.
I don't know if she specifically composed the boss theme but Michiru Yamane was involved with the soundtrack for all three games of the Rocket Knight series.

You know I wasn't sure about that, but after double checking the soundtrack you are indeed correct.. Not only was Michriu involved, but pretty much every other composer who did the music for Contra Hard Corps. Thanks for the info!
