@patsomewhen The point still stands; Obama and Sullivan were equally accountable, respectively, at the time of the incident. Can't blame Bush if he wasn't there. Sullivan was appointed by Obama by default.

@oriskany may want to check your facts there. Sullivan a 22 year veteran of USSS was appointed as director by Bush in 2006, not Obama

Sullivan stepped aside to avoid responsibility, typical of Obama's choices.
The Secret Service has been redefined as just another Civil Service job, subjected to whimsical management.
Obama's choice Sullivan should have stood up as responsible and not sacrificed three anonymous agents.
