Afraid i can't agree, can't touch the marasi's back in india. They have better speed, clarity and intricacy then all of us englad based dholi's by far. They play dhol for a living and they use the cheapest dhols they can get there hands on; amb wood. Yet they can tune those cheap dhols to sound as good as the ones that us dholi's are willing to pay 400-600 for.
