But this is certainly Berlioz's "quotation" of the Dies Irae. It sure as heck isn't Mozart's or Dvorak's or Handel's or any other composer's, right?

The music is much older than Berlioz -- it's "Dies Irae", a chant from the 13th century.

sorcerers and monsters of every kind who have come together for his funeral. Strange sounds, groans, outbursts of laughter; distant shouts which seem to be answered by more shouts....thank god for wikipedia ;-)

anyone know this actual classical music piece..the name etc...i remember listening to a radio documentry on kubrick years ago and as far as i know its " a lement for the dead "...could be wrong...but ironic he get a job over an indian reservation berrial ground ;-)...cool opening by kubrick though
