A brief look at the steps involved in treating a vocal so it stands up in the mix. I always try to get the best takes I can from the vocalist - I try to make sure they are happy with the diction and phrasing. Then its up to me to make them really shine ! Things like tuning and volume always need some tweeks. See how Sonar can make these steps so easy.
im pretty ready!

Ok perhaps I'll remove it.
But wait - 21,000 views and nobody else had a problem.
Maybe I'll let it ride for now
Sorry it didn't help you.

@kjchicago1
That would depend on how you have things set up. I have a multi tracking setup with 8 ins and outs so its easy for me to do that on 2 different tracks. But with a basic sound card you would need to use the right and left inputs. Then again the soundtrack will be stereo so that is no good . . .
Why not put the soundtrack in first, then sing it.
Highlight an audio track and go to File / Import / Audio and brouse for soundtrack.
Then setup an audio track to record your voice :)

@dustypuppy Say you want to record the music sound track and your voice at the same time? How do you do that?
