Jews and non-Jews are both special, but have a different purpose. Ours is to keep the Torah. - If we let go of it and blend in with everyone, we are not doing our job. There are many problems when a person marries out like in regards to Shabbos. While a Non-Jew can keep kosher if they want, Shabbos is for us to keep. If youre married and want to keep Shabbos, both spouses need to be Jewish so you can complete the mitzvah together, she lights the candles and he says a blessing over wine.
