Several hundred people formed a contingent at the January 27 anti-war protest and marched from DuPont Circle to the Capitol, where they broke past police lines.

Fact is that the majority of protesters are a combination of the unemployed, poor, homeless, and uninformed students that have nothing better to do. Those are the facts. The trouble makers are also easy to spot since they are the ones cowardly covering their faces. Come to think of it, so do terrorists.

But of course, the mere obvious is too much for some people to handle, since "facts" only matter if it suits your agenda.

I am a liberal and all, definitely against the war. But if I could make a suggestion which I think would get more "regular" people there is some decent looking girls. The theme and message is right on, however the girls repping it are BEASTS. Fix that up a little and you will be on your way to a great little rally!

that is such a lie... they did let some of us through. that part is true. but they didn't say we could be arrested for trespassing cause in fact we couldn't be arrested because the capitol lawn is Public property. the lawn remained in public hands all throughout the day. many of us had lunch on the grass, it was quite a beautiful day for January.

most of the police were nice, it was only a few of them who decided to be assholes and tried to block the way. but all in all it was very peaceful.
