The Sun just had a massive orgasm … how long ---------- in time does it take for the radiation burst to hit earth?
-
THANK YOU...
-
now what will exactly happen
-
@solarwatcher Have we just had a massive solar ejection? Just looked at the SDO and it looks like it - cheers for your thoughts.

mag 5 Nias Indonesia. Well done and thanks :)

great video !!

SolarWatcher Do you have the possible places where this scary CME will hit as earthquake or volcano eruptions? All We need an update od theis video, cos not enough announce the disturbance, so the consecuenses geographically located as you do it. Thanks.

thanks for the update, I was wondering about those volcano eruptions.....thnx again.
what will a G2 geomagnetic storm do to earth?
halieccboo 8 months ago
@halieccboo I believe they cause severe weather events or earthquakes

Proton flux are carried in the solar wind or CME"s? What happens if they are high and do they cause radiation and earthquakes? Thanks.

@isabstmr A solar proton event occurs when protons emitted by the Sun become accelerated to very high energies either close to the Sun during a solar flare or by the shocks associated with coronal mass ejection's. These high energy protons can penetrate the Earth's magnetic field and cause ionization in the ionosphere. These events are significant and usually produce anomalies in geo-telemetry which are key drivers to specific seismic activity's above active fault lines felt here on earth.

damn! this is one impressive eruption. i read that there were volcanic eruptions in mexico and chile on the 4th of june. could it have been directly triggered by this event or was this event after those eruptions?

@egott14 looks like these were related to the geomagnetic storm late last month May 28-29, the new activities today could take 3-5 days to translate into possible volcanic/siesmic events.
