My dad surprised us one time and brought home a new 1979 Red Plymouth Volare with red interior and mag wheels. It was a gorgeous car and we never had any problem with it until my older brother totalled it in 1985. Boy, was my dad pissed. LOL!!
The 1976 and half of the 77s were crap, they were built just as well as any car from ford or gm from 78-80. I've now owned 3 and I'm 24, no major issues.
For some strange reason, I used to like the Volare as a kid and wanted my parents to buy one....
It was probably a good idea that they didn't.

The car in National Lampoons Vacation is based off this one. It was a piece of junk.

I love old Mopars but the Volare' and the Aspen were terribly built.
