The Flood of Biblical Proportions Baton Rouge May, 13th 2011 Friday 13th
Governor Bobby Jindal says an additional 2,600 structures and 3,900 people will be impacted when the Morganza Spillway is opened. Jindal made the comments moments ago during a news conference. When The Levee
Breaks I'll have no WROL at my place to stay.
BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -

A request has been made to the Mississippi River Commission to open the Morganza Spillway. If the commission approves it, the anticipated opening date is May 12.
he Army Corps of Engineers released a map Saturday showing what could happen if the Morganza Spillway is opened.
Sections of Iberville, St. Mary, and Terrebonne parishes could get up to five feet of water.
Officials are witnessing the problems that accompany the rising waters, like sand boils that are blistering in canals around the bulging Mississippi River.
"As floodwaters progress through the Morganza Floodway to the Gulf of Mexico, the height of the water could reach between five and upwards of 25 feet above ground elevation, causing widespread flooding and inundation," the Corps said in a news release. "Notification will be given in advance with adequate time for evacuation; however, expeditious action must be taken to protect life and property."

  • ANTHROPOGENIC CLIMATE CHANGE. 'Google' it!

  • Not of Biblical Proportions because this flood is actually happening, not made up.

Morganza gates and Old River gates are dams. If they weren't there the water would be going out the Atchafalaya basin anyway. Folks living there know this. No one wants the River to switch channels permanently, which is natural. The River wants to go out the Atchafalaya, it is due. You wanna see a "change we can believe in"? It would be if the river changed course.

  • fuck dem dey gone let da levee flood

  • If I hear one more thing about Osama, I'm going to scream. Let's focus on what's happening in our on damn country. There are people still missing from the tornadoes but the government is more concerned about the porn found at bin ladens. F"ed up country. I'm sorry about what happened in NYC on 9/11 and we all sent money but they don't give a crap about the south and I'm sure aren't going to try and help us.
