@Sidepocket2600 What was your favorite quote from the book and what does it mean and how does it affect the main character?
-
how do u think kane chronicles is better than percy jackson???
-
@TherealJRipley I know I just meant that they ran along the same lines.
-
@MicaelaHart Correction, it's not really about Percy... >.>

@techfan5730 If you're intrested in other books like this by Rick Riordan there is another series out now called "The Heroes of Olympus" which sort of shadows Percy Annabeth and Grover, but there's new characters that are the actual main characters. The book has Roman gods and Greek god twists in it... all revolving around Jason Grace, a demigod, son of Zeus, whom suffers with amnesia; Piper McLean, another demigod but daughter of Aphrodite, but she is a cheroke movie star; And then there's Leo..

my favourite part was the ending where they battle set it was soo epic but i when they finish the fight is my favourite part i thought that they were going to destroy set but i was soo wrong aha those of you who read it will know what im talking about

@techfan5730 Well, if you are into the Writing of Rick Riorden then The Heros Of Olympus, the Lost Hero just came out. The New Percy Jackson Novel.

I read this book, and it was good. Only a few things that bothered me, that the Egyptian new year is in early August, not December. It's caclulated by the star Sirius (Sopdet, representing Aset/Isis) rising over the royal residence. The other thing is making Set. Serqet, and Sobek out to be bad gods when they're not.

@wonderbox1997 i agree with you on the percy jackson series the kane chronicles is similar to the percy jackson series but instead of greek mythology its egyptian mythology i wont say anything else about the book cause i dont want to spoiler the book for you and i havent read the whole book yet im only on chapter 8
What other books are coming out this year that are similar to "The Red Pyramid?" I liked it a lot, but I don't like being confused as to what's going on, which is what happens the entire book. My biggest overall problem with the book is I often found myself not knowing which character was speaking. Sadie's Britishness really deteriorated over the course of the book, showing flashes of individuality from time to time, but overall Sadie and Carter sounded pretty similar. Can't wait for book 2!
