I disagree that people focus solely on rights when providing arguments on this topic. People HAS right to pursue his/her happiness. However its different when one pursuit of happiness is viewed detrimental, negative in a society, which I think this is the main focus of the argument here. Gay people can be artists, designers, social workers, as they can also be criminals or convicts. Its not the people, never is.
