My utmost respect to veterans of the Second World War: The greatest generation of men the world has or will ever see again.

My Granddad served in two theaters of WW2. His ship, the USS Washington, served in the far North Atlantic providing protection for Soviet convoys.
And in the Pacific his ship took part in almost every US operation providing artillery cover to Marines from the Solomons, Guadalcanal, the Mariana Islands to Peleliu and Angaur, Okinawa, the Ryukyu Islands; Formosa; Luzon; Camranh Bay and Saigon in French Indochina; Hong Kong; Canton; Hainan Island; Nansei Shoto; Iwo Jima,

Russia started WWII by jointly invading and partitioning Poland with Nazi Germany in 1939. Bolshevik Russia were partners of Nazi Germany up until 1941. Russians helped the genocides to start. The Russian Red Army and NKVD Army also commited genocides.
