@ChesterDoraemon Elvis never wrote a song in his life yet it didn't affect his status, although I do have more respect for people who write their own music. Actually since Madonna has written a lot of her own material and she did write Lucky Star and a few others on her first album.

Plenty of them are doing well for themselves just like Madonna is doing well for herself. She's a fanstastic entertainer, visual artist and actually quite creative. And if you see her in other intverviews she's actually quite articulate and intelligent. Even if she doesn't have their natural ability good on her for being ballsy enough to go after what she wanted.
