In December 2005, the unimaginable had happened in New York City. A Mass Transit Strike had occured. Which had happened in the climax of the 2005 holiday season. This wreaked havoc amongst many New Yorkers that day. Many news stations had full coverage on this historical event, including ofcourse New York's best, WABC. Here is the Intro to WABC's continuing coverage of the major story that day.
And so it should be illegal. A mass transit strike in a majorly huge city, forcing people to walk long distances in bitter cold temperatures. I feel ashamed for those workers for walking off the job and not realizing they put themselves at risk of getting fined and even sent to jail on top of that. I wouldn't be surprised if the transit service lost customers because of this "selfish" behavior on the workers' part.
