If you want to see how small a 2kV diode can be, look at a BY614.
The early transmitter at Crystal Park, London was completely restored a few years ago.
Old Marconi radio transmitters were built completely open. And the voltages were just as dangerous.
What type of valve is that, How can those little diodes handle that MOT output, this is a dangerous amplifier, doesn't seem to have much power output
