  • First of all for all of you that do practice Karate, I think it shows how truly disrspectful you are. You preach ethics and the true meaning of Karate-Do, yet you insult one of its best. None of you have met Valdesi, and Im sure none of you can move like him! You guys are jokes, if your so adamant of showing TRUE Karate, post a video of yourself. Instead of preaching about the Japanese masters on youtube. He seems like a nice guy, met him in person, so go judge someone else you idiots.

  • Why the Shinzentai was so Opened?

In Zenkutso basis, why the back foot is so unstable?

In Kiba basis, why the knees wasn't pointed more to outside?

And what was that "Sily Jump" ? OMG.

Anyone who is in 3rd. Kyu yet Knows it: the base is the most important thing in a kata. More important than the impressive speed of arm movements (which were made without using the waist, by the way).

It seemed more a race than a kata.

  • @amitchell171 What level of Karate did you attain? If you are a dedicated karate-ka you would know that this is an excellent demonstration of speed, power, technique and accuracy. Fast techniques must be fast and slow techniques must be slow. Pauses are pauses for a reason. It's not only about correct technique, but having an understanding of speed and slow. If you were taught karate with no variation of speed, you got taught wrong. Ossu!

  • @RainBirdLori

    Ok... I get it...

    My bad.

    Sorry.

  • @dudavilanova

That's HIS Shizentai, who cares how open it is?

Kiba: You are thinking of the wrong stance, Shiko Dachi will have knees pointing outward, Kiba has knees and feet pointing forward.

Zenkutzu: unstable where? If you mean at 0:26 that's not zenkutsu dachi, that's Sokutsu Dachi.

And the "sily jump" is part of the kata.

Also, learn the difference between rotation and vibration, he does both and very well.

Finally: If you know karate, why do you criticise? Ossu!

  • @saburexno1 (my english is very poor too...) Let me say it AGAIN: I LIKE the Katas of Luca Valdesi... He IS a very good Karate-ka. What I'm Saying is: THIS IS'NT the best Kata of Him. This IS NOT the best video of him in the Internet.

  • @dudavilanova you should practice more and you'll see how a kata really look like executed by a 3 dan+ master...that was not a race...that was real speed that's the correct version of a kata...when it's slow it's slow and when it's a punch it has to be as fast as it can. Sorry for my poor english

  • @shotojojo1986 i met him but i cant move like him xD HE IS BRILLIANT!

  • fantastic form, good strong deep stance, full power, good spirit and its so hard to do katas like this full power full speed with this crispness and accuracy

  • To fast for my taste and why long pauses? he must do sport karate and not karate do like I grew up knowing plus the judges that may not know what to luck for or does technique not count?

  • wonder what this looks like sped up!?! ;)

  • sick!
