Are you saying that no-kill is in some way being applied here in New York city? I have no idea how you could say this. Does not exist here.

this is the problem in this country you think the government knows best and should control and punish. any thing the government will do will only hurt the animals not make it better. Shelters kill so many animals for the stupidest reasons and charge outrages fees just to adopt or get your animal back and non kill shelters make it so hard for people to adopt . Government enforcement will back fire. one day they will euthanize humans because of over breeding what then?

I got the information from the director of the Mayor's Alliance for NYC’s Animals and the director of NYC Humane Society and the Alliance website.
I recently called the Alliance to confirm members of the alliance including Animal Services are on track for no kill and they assured me they are. There are no doubt problems and the director's assistant admitted as much, but their stated goal is no kill by 2015.
